From my source Orient Thai still have 11 jets in operation:
2 B741, 3 B742, 1 B743, 1 B752, 4 DC9-80... 2 B743 stored
Thai Sky Airways with 1 jet in operate:
1 DC9-80... 3 L1011 stored
There are many reason why airlines put their jets into storage... And 1 of the reason could be their jets are not operational at this point and waiting for maintiance...
For Thai Sky, I think 1 jet is enough for their operation since they only have a very limited network... And I believe their DC9-80 would have a better reliability than their L1011... |

I am think would it because the lower demand on their international routes... As for OX, they now have to use B757 on HKT/BKK-HKG route during low season and only change back to B747 during peak season...
So maybe they just store their B743 while its low season and there are too many B747 around for them... |
