Flight Information :
MU 718 Hong Kong - Hangzhou
Date - September 26, 2005
Departure - 1135
Actual Takeoff - around 1200
There was a significant delay in taking off this morning. Perhaps it's due to the typhoon 3 signal, because I didn't hear a steady stream of airplanes taking off as we taxied and stopped for about 10 minutes. A few 747s overtook us as we held our position near the western end of the runway.
The jet - MD 90
Goodbye Hong Kong!
After an hour and a half, we descended to Hangzhou :
Deer Jet!
We parked on the tarmac and had to board buses to get to the terminal.
Remarks
I've never seen passengers get up and use the washroom during the initial climb just after we took off. The flight attendants didn't stop them, which was quite odd. Service was decent. They did what they needed to do, and handed out food and drinks efficiently. The meal tasted quite good. I've always been happy with the catering in HKG.
