For those who have sailing experience would probably know this;
"The sailing rule that dictates that a sailing vessel on starboard tack is the stand on vessel is as old as any other regulation. Likewise, if on the same tack, a sailing vessel that is upwind of another is the give way vessel."
Starboard first. I'm not an expert in sailing but for me if I see a vessel hit another vessel from port and decided to detach the two vessels at that very moment would be very wrong. I stand to be corrected. What about Signals? Vessel Horns? GPS? Those I would leave to the government investigation team to announce at the report.
The problem here is a wrong assumption. It doesn't make sense if we assume both vessels stake together after collision, espeically in this case. There have been professionals talking about this now, and given the damage made on Lamma IV, it seems that both ship didn't stake together after collision. In fact, as it is the left bow being hit, there is a
very high probability that they are seperated naturally due to the forces.

"very high probability that they are separated naturally due to the forces." - So what forces are you talking about here? wind? wave? spiritual powers?
