Haven't seen any numbers on the B5LH, but the two demonstrators that went to Metroline and Arriva are quoted to weigh at 10,814kg. The new Stagecoach London E40Hs weigh at 12,205kg, about 300kg more than the Euro V equivalent. But then, the Euro 6 Cummins engine is a little bit bigger, and the bus is about 30cm longer, which should not be a surprise.
This is clearly one of the early production batch so are built to a standard length. Volvo does offer a 11.2m version on the chassis, so if Lothian order it, it will be available.
Going slightly closer to the topic, it emerges today that Stagecoach has ordered another 18 B5LHs for its Tayside operations in Dundee. What makes this interesting is they will be bodied by ADL, a first for the type.
