What I meant in my previous message was that, no ordinary person would appreciate seeing parts of their relatives' bodies around.
The only time when one would truly appreciate seeing someone else's body, is when the other is still alive, telling/conveying stories/history.
For me, I would only appreciate D550 if it is still mechanically sound. Then I can experience what it was like to use bus services decades ago.
Not all buses deserve to be preserved, but I strongly believe D550 should be. The buses not deserve to be preserved are not to be appreciated.
But by taking out the usable parts, such as seats, there will be more people appreciating that piece.
I am certain there will be a few people appreciating the severed front of D550. However, in my opinion the number would be significantly smaller than if D550 were used for heritage services.
