For the sake of our future, please DO sign it. Hong Kong's future depends on you. For BN(O)s, you are eligible to sign. Choose "expatriate" from the list since we don't have a British postcode.
We need to get at least 20,000 signatures for a response from the UK Govt.
However, for BN(O) holders, if we have the right of abode in the UK, at least we have somewhere to go if things in HK/China go wrong. And it is more likely that we will enjoy more visa-free access,. (We still need a visa to visit the US) We will probably have more oppuntunities in the UK and EU.
People in Macau already have this right, why not us?

I am sad to hear this kind of comments...

Well, quite a lot people as well as Chinese immigrants in UK can't even get a job
The right of abode in any countries doesn't guarantee your future
Most people in HK won't go to the UK, I think. Many Chinese people in Macau have Portuguese passports, but they have never set foot on Portugal or the EU! I don't think granting BNOs right of abode will exacerbate the unemployment in the UK.
However, HK people still need a visa to visit the US, we need to fight for visa-free access to the States. And the right of abode is a BASIC right of a national and it is clearly stated in the European Convention of Human Rights (However the UK never ratified the article concerned in the Convention).
