just a little background information here:
- when Travel London lost the contract for route 60, some of the batch of 30 tridents [9701-9730] were supposed to have been transferred away from London to the west midlands.
however, travel london won a private contract for a university service in Kingston [3 tridents];
Routes C3 and 156 had PVR increases by 5 or 6 buses, and the company won a 3 year contract [starting 24 dec 2007] for the services replacing the east london line [12 tridents].
Therefore, very few of those tridents would be leaving london for the midlands anytime soon!
Yes as the refurbishment program will be carried at Walsall workshop
Don't think so, because those buses were only replaced the new seats and handrails on it, also as I know there is a big workshop for cushions/ handrails in that Birmingham garage... so I think they will get to Walsall for repaint the vehicle body only.

But there will be a large batch of new buses arrive in the West Midlands from this September... so why does TL still transfer these buses to the West Midlands?
