10152...
broken down again this morning....the fifth time in this 3 weeks...The worst bandy in the fleet of Bath depot...
Why can't the Bath depot engineer get it totally fixed before it joins in the service again?
The engine has never sounded good, and the speed of climbing up the Bathwick Hill is always slower than
walking up-hill...it records a more than 40 mins journey from town to Uni last week while the normal journet time should be
within 20 mins. Everytime you get on it, you know that the next bus will overtake it, and you will be late very possibly..
Photos taken previously...
When it was red...
The gearbox is getting worse and worse...it shakes every time it gears-up and down...
Can it not be released out again before it is in a reasonable condition for servicing?

There's something called teething problem, even you fix it today it will occur somedays; The cost taking the bus out of service is high and hence, this is only a gear box problem and you can still get over it. No one knows how long it takes if you send it back to Volvo for full service and it is rather not to do.
In my opinion, this bus is not as bad as you described in First's standard- just use First's standard to see things and you will be pleased that you still have a B7LA rather than a 3 high steps entrace Dennis Javelin/ Leyland Tiger on 18/418... relax man!

10152 has re-joined the normal service again...
btw, 10180 was slower than 10152, dropped down to 1st gear to climb up Bathwick Hill yesterday..
to be honest, at the moment, I preferred those Lance SLF, B7RLE, Dart rather than these troublesome B7LAs...

Since you have been ling in Bath and being the user, have you ever consider write to the depot/area manager or the press to discuss the problem?
I did and raising opinions from time to time can help to improve your local services.
Bath is not as bad as you described and I do feel confused reading this post since you have been writing a good story about how crap (excuse me using this word) 10152 is but putting 10180 at the end saying it is even slower than 10152?!? I really don't know.

I was just a bit furious about the performance of 10180 yesterday..Well, but still it is a better bus than 10152...
Anyway, I have just travelled on 10152 going down the hill. The 'shaking' problem seems to be a bit better than it used to be,
but the nearly 'hard back' seats are still.....and in the summer, it is going to be very hot again..
I don't know why some of the windows of 10151 and 10153 were replaced by the ones that can be opened, but still leaving
this 10152 a 'green-house' till now.

Regarding the window issue- simple reason, the cost !
