As we see off the year of rat very soon, people in Preston have also bid farewell to Preston Bus, which have served the city for a remarkable 104 years. The company was taken over by bitter rival Stagecoach from last Friday, following a highly publicised bus war between them that started in 2007.

A bit sad to know the news...
thro it is just a matter of time for Preston Bus to be take over by someone,
but I think it seems better if it is not Stagecoach.

Same feeling here, though I don't know Preston Bus much!
I always enjoy seeing independent bus operators!
Just wonder the take over is because of the bus war or something to do with the credit crunch??
