The Neoplan N4016 is said to be the very first batch of low-floor single-deck city bus in the United Kingdom. They built at Stuttgart, Germany. It is a heavy duty single-decker with 12m long and 2.5m wide. Only 12 were sold in UK and were new to Merseyside PTE in 1993-1994. They later passed to MTL for use on mainly Croxteth Park services. The batch was later owned by Arriva North West and were retired later 2008. Reports said L409TKB has been sold to Ranat Valley and numbered 259. It went into servces early February 2009.
