If you based on the chassis number, the 1st of the SuperBus is actually not 9000 but rather 9032.

But isn't it 9000 is the first one getting bodied and built in UK?

Nobody really got the answer to that. Because SBS dont usually register their buses according to the chassis no. So there's a chance that 9032 is the one that was being built in UK. That is just based on the assumption that they bodied their buses according to the chassis no.

the 1st leyland 12m was new to sbs in 1992... now already 17 yrs old... has it been retired?

The first Leyland Olympian was registered in yr 1993. They were first put into service on 1st Sept 1993 on Svc 7.
