[SIN]SMRT Buses購入66部Mercedes Benz Citaro

SMRT is still not dare enough yet to put a bulk order on Yutong. I guess it is mainly due to the technology used on China made buses are still have a distance with European one under a much more  stringent environmental law although the price the of China made buses are much more competitive.

I wonder which version they are buying though, the standard full low-floor version or the low-entry LE version?

The bus is difinitely looks much nicer than those previous batch of low entry buses. But how much is more will cost for  SMRT to buy these Citaro buses? (The Citaro definitely is more expensive than those Low entry buses.) I wounder he may purchases the Citaro chassis only but using Malaysia manufactured body instead to save cost.

P.S. For ordinary people, they only need to pay S$0.63 (EZ-link fare)  to ride on a nice Citaro bus! Two thumbs up for SMRT!
