Yesterday my friends and I just hanged around and shot some old buses.
Maybe We talked a bit louder, the driver approached to us and talked to us in Cantonese that I was very surprised.

I talked to him yesterday through e-mail, in the email, he says:

"在82年我開始巴士生涯，當時正值手拉閘轉電閘之始，而我學的單層車花名叫"白水箱"，因車頭水箱為白鋼名之，多用於跑西貢及大帽山，而另一舊雙層是先入波再踏離合器的則叫"烏咀狗"亦因水箱為全黑色名之，此時畧新更大一些之改良版則叫"紅頭"因全車皆紅色也，亦是我駕之跑了七年15號線之款。另一同教畧長一點是另一牌子，但非常重軚的我則忘了名，當時是用於6A.。同時亦開始有較現代化之"珍寶"型出現(11號線)，至於畧細一點完裝二手買入的則叫"翻頭婆",車很快但危險性亦大(14B),另一由香港自己裝的珍寶，則因外型全為方角，故亦另名"紅燈籠"(2A)，以上的都是半自動電波車。85年開始有全自動但引擎室仍在車頭但與車身一體之新車出現，但底盤奇高，要踏三級才能到車台，故稱"高腳雞"，此車很快，但轉彎若不收油，則往往會有翻車之險。87年起開始有現在車款之初型車的出現，因大都是來自英國Dannns廠出品，故一般亦叫"丹尼士"，但同時亦有幾部VOLVO及BENS在試用。而我亦幸運地是15號線第一個轉用新車者"

I think 高腳雞 is Victory Mk2 or Dennis Jubilant.

烏咀狗 is Daimler A ?

白水箱, 紅頭 is what ?

Volvo was that the K depot rt.101 B10M ??

BenZ seem impossible to him to drive in HK coz he was Kwan Tong depot driver. But he said to me that Sydney O305 buses are better to drive, compared with HK Benz....

In Hong Kong, we will call that "烏咀狗" is Daimler A with original radiator, "白水箱" is Tilling-Stevens, i guess that "紅頭" is AEC Regent V or Daimler D and the "翻頭婆" is Leyland Atlantean.

No,in fact some O305(classME) was owned by the Kwan Tong depot when they were new,
they work on route like 101,105...etc

雞車, 鴨車都唔係85年先出現

I think 1972 is more reasonable.

高腳雞可能係指G1-G4

紅頭 is Daimler B
白水箱 is Tilling Steven (i.e. HK104)
Volvo is B10MD (VMD1)
翻頭婆 maybe DMS (2D) because 14B, 14C was using DMS
6A was using AEC Regent 5 so call 大水牛 (KMB fleet number A)

紅頭應該係Daimler C, 因樓主是這樣說:

此時畧新更大一些之改良版則叫"紅頭"因全車皆紅色也

Daimler A/B 長度係一樣, Daimler C 比 Daimler A/B 長3呎.
