Thing is though, I don't think it will get licensed to that maximum weight. At Europe the limit is 18 tonnes, and I can't see the HK government would let them out on the street beyond this limit (by law that is), as it will be very difficult to argue for a higher weight would not damage the roads (at 18tonnes, we had the MBs which set the precedence, and of course it's the limit in Europe as well, which in theory, will be easier to argue the case).
So doing the maths the other way round, an 18 tonnes limit (assume 60kg per pax) will give these E400 a capacity of 72. A London-spec E400 of that size have a H41/24D layout, giving 65 seats, and that equates to another 7 standing space. Only thing is, an average weight of 60kg per person sounds a bit low. Is this the government standard?
