Here is a photo of ADL's own E500 trident 'in house' prototype; this is not licensed for service, and is referred to as 'AD34'.
if you look closely, you will see that the body was built to KMB specification [straight staircase, seats] but was also fitted with emergency windows -of the type used in North America.
The bus was photo'ed in Guildford, photo by Terry Longhurst. I am told that the bus was fitted with an exit door as well.
on the same page-68- there is a photo of the E200 vehicle; this bus is actually now the hybrid prototype; last time I saw it , the bus was fitted with desks and monitors, and engineers were monitoring the performance of the hybrid system!
it can be seen -from time to time- on the 'run' between Guildford and Transdev's Fulwell bus garage[ the sole operator of E200H] in west London.
