Well, tuff luck, cause Hk is a tiny auto market compare to the rest of the world, even the last generation civic, only HK has the 1.5 L because of the tax structure of HK. everywhere else has the 1.7L (Thailand has 1.8, 2.0L) version, US has 1.8L.
Well, as I've talked to a sales of Honda in HK, he said that Honda will not make a special version of 1.5L for hk, as there are like only 400+ civic sale/ year in HK. it will cost too much....btw, heard from the same sales that the next generation Corolla will also only have 1.8L too, maybe is time for the government to reconsider the tax structure of the small car segment, as fewer and fewer 1.5L will be appear in the future.
However, for me, Toyota or Honda, I will still choose Honda, cause the technology is far better then toyota, as I feel that toyota's materials are getting cheaper and cheaper looking, while Honda is improving alot....(especially in US toyota's corolla, camry, Yaris....even the new Ford has better interior then toyota...)

Yea, heard some rumours that Jazz will have a 1.5L version available, and civic have 1.8L because no one else in the world wants a 1.5L version, maybe they will make Accord only available with a 3.0 V6, but it seems weird that only in HK that Honda is losing market share, even Macau still maintain share, and everywhere else Honda does well in the market, and from what I've heard that the Honda Co. will not make cars suitable for one market only, (eg: Toyota Corolla that are selling in Hk is only for HK, and Macau market out of the whole world....) cause the development cost cannot be recooperated..that's why we can see Thailand made Accord in hk...because Thai will be the main exporter of Honda cars to other Asian country.
