How's the performance?
Sorry I couldn't comment on this because I did not get on it
I could have taken the opportunity to sample this bus but I didn't because I don't want to fork out more £ to get on this because I've already got a Stagecoach ticket and not a Whippet one.
If that bus is out again tomorrow and I presume it will,
I may get a ride and tell you how this compare with the Stagcoach Scania on the Cambridge busway

I've never been to the UK and don't know much about buses there.
However why do their newest buses often not have air conditioning?
It's simply too cold in the UK, heaters are more important towards passengers' comfort
therefore most buses have installed the heaters, people all over the country love to shut the windows during winter and keep the temperature as warm as possible inside
Most modern bus in London such as E400, E400H, B9TL, etc. The upper deck of the bus has a tiny aircon unit, however, the small windows are openable. In summer time, the people will still open the window to let hot air coming into the upper deck compartment. There is no difference between with a/c or without a/c.
