LDN: First welcome 2012 events in London -SRM3

in 2012, London will celebrate the Dimond Jubilee of the Queen [1952-2012], the olympics and the Para olympics.

to commemorate those forthcoming events, SRM3 [=RM1650] was fitted with those stickers

across the country, like what happened in the year of Golden Jubilee?

how come the traditional RM fleet number was replaced by "SRM"?

Because of RM1650 printed as silver livery for Silver Jubilee bus. the fleet is SRM3 at that time. Then printed in gold livery in 2002 for Queen's Golden Jubilee bus. So that First group keep this fleet number (SRM3)as their "Showbus"
