(About seats) How to get a seat in exit row and get free upgrade at check-in?

They sent me to Sheraton Skyline Hotel near Heathrow with transport provided...

I think there was around 5 of us in total who accepted that... But 1 person went home since he live close to the airport...
But only I got upgraded since I let everyone else to go first to get their ticket... But there was 1 too few ticket so they upgraded me...

I have rode CX, BA so many times, but they didn't ask me to change for a later flight~~

package, and fly with others, please do expect yourself to be upgraded even
your are a silver member.

I have also resevered 54C on CX254 this June.
(I am going to fly on my own)
Hope it is going to be fine and see whether I will be upgraded or otherwise.
Anyway, it is only a bonus.

I bought Student tickets package as well~ 3 return flights a year, they are M class tickets
I am flying on my own only, are you sure that will be far more easier to get upgraded?

I need to get 85 club miles in order to get into Silver status...
I am holding Green card only,
as I was applied in this JAN, after few months of 18 years old~~

Lastly, which day are you going to take CX254??? Taking A346???

Usually it is easier to upgrade if you are travelling alone... As they would try to upgrade as few people as possible...
But last time, a few of my friends travelling with BA got upgraded all together... So it depence...

The last time I travelled with BA, I and my brother were upgraded to Business Class
from Traveller plus.
That was just because the flight was overbooked, we were told to be upgraded
just before we got on the flight at the gate.

Aftert the summer return flight to HKG,,,
I will become a silver member^^~~
I am taking 25/6's Cathay 254 (346 as well)
Did u take exit row in any airlines before?

P.S.: Will u be able to get into Gold card status?
