I can't imagine the 4.1 m version being used in Australia -- unless the roofline is higher than other DDs. It would be quite difficult for for average-height Australian bloke to get to the top deck without bumping his head hard

I reckon even 4.17m on those 33XX in HK aren't that bad, once you get upstairs you are meant to sit down anyways, so the chance of having a tall bloke hitting his head is just for the distance walking towards the stairs, which is say less than 1 minute?
I've seen people who are too tall to catch a train here anyways, they just have to live with it.
I am 178cm tall, and I still have to bow down when I jump on a decker, big deal.
