For those who follows the Formula 1, you should know about the British Grand Prix at Silverstone last sunday. On bus spotter's perspectively though, this is also an interesting event as Stagecoach operates the shuttle services from the racetrack to nearby towns. To support what arguably is the biggest event in the year, Stagecoach has to call upon well over 200 buses from its operations around the Midlands and beyond.
Much of the buses are sourced from Stagecoach's nearby operations:
...with very strong presence of Stagecoach East:
Stagecoach West:
Cambridgeshire:
Oxford:
...and Warwiskshire.
Also further afield there are a number of coaches operating Megabus shuttle into Silverstone:
One of those coming from the furthest from home is arguably this:
Consider the vast number of Stagecoach buses presented, it's not surprised to find some special liveried vehicles:
And the blind of the day no doubt goes to Stagecoach Warwickshire with this effort:
Sadly though, next year's British Grand Prix, if it happens anyway, will be moved to Donnington instead. So this year's Silverstone shuttle may well be the last time.
