[UK舊相] 2005 Asiabus Response

When a tsunami strikes the South Asian Countries back in 2005. A lot of 100 buses from various operators throughout the UK was donated to the South Asian Countries as a support for them to rebuilt their infrasturture.  I was lucky to be "invited" to the press conference at Winchester and was lifted up @@ some 40 feet to take pictures of the lot. Wonder if these buses are still being kept now.

All the MCWs...... and I saw the Belfast Ulsterbus Bristol RE as well.....

頭一批應該有100架車去印尼(印度尼西亞)同斯里蘭卡,作為臨時學校,或接送
學童等用途,但當準備運第二批時,斯里蘭卡政府要求指定車輛並提供3年零件,
結果呢個計劃就咁玩完

WA, 斯里蘭卡政府獅子開大口...雖然英國佬都係當清垃圾...
咁唔知付運左0個D唔知依家現況點呢? 會唔會冇零件擺0係度封塵?

真係惡.人地送批車比你雖然係人都知做show+送垃圾走.
都唔洗指明乜車仲送埋零件比你3年卦.
送3年零件比你個保養咁貴英國佬負擔倒ge話,佢早就留番比自己洗啦.至少自己賺幾個崩先.

Is the First #30324 in the second last photo the "supposed" TWM #3107?
This bus was supposed to be part of TWM, but was never delivered to TWM
and stayed with MCW for tests before finally sold to First.
Finally it could join with its brothers...but it's the end of its life in UK.

And the TWM #2662 in the last photo should be the only representative from
Coventry...
