Open Invitation for Expression of Interest (“EOI”)
The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited (“KMB”) hereby openly invites Expression of Interest for the below subject.
Issue Date：4-Aug-2021 EOI Reference：EOI/1166 Subject Supply Scope：
KMB intends to appoint quality suppliers for the supply of total 2 units (from 2 different manufacturers) of Completely Built Up Air-conditioned Electric Double Deck Bus with passenger carrying capacity of not less than 115 and fully comply with the legislative requirement for franchised bus operations in Hong Kong to be delivered by end 2022.

In case a rainstorm black warning or typhoon signal No. 8 or above is valid for any duration between 9:00 a.m. (HKSAR Time) and 12:00 noon (HKSAR Time), the closing time will be extended to 12:00 noon (HKSAR Time) on the next weekday (i.e. except Saturday and Sunday) other than public holiday.
Prequalification Requirement (IMPORTANT)：
All interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience shall complete and return the following items (as PDF attachment) by email for prequalification assessment:
1. Copy of Business Registration and Company Incorporation Certificate
2. EOI Registration Form (blank form is attached), duly completed and signed with company chop
3. Project reference(s) for the deployment of Right-Hand-Drive (RHD) Electric Double Deck Bus with similar specification requirements detailed in the Project Brief attached to this EOI.
Tender document will be issued under separate cover to qualified interested parties who have duly completed the EOI submission.

Project Brief
Supply of Completely Built Up (CBU) Air-conditioned Electric Double Deck Bus with passenger carrying capacity of not less than 115 and fully comply with the legislative requirement for franchised bus operations in Hong Kong.

Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW)：≤ 24,000 kg
Please provide details of individual axle loading proposed.
Nominal Overall Length：≤ 12 metres
Number of Axle：2-axle or 3-axle
Bus body materials：Aluminum Alloy
Low Floor Type (Super Low Floor or Low Entry)：Super Low Floor is preferred
Low entry (steps in lower saloon gangway after exit door) will also be considered.
Cruising Range (km per charge)：≥ 200 km
Under urban duty cycle with average commercial speed of 10km/hour at a fully passenger laden and air-conditioned conditions in Hong Kong. State of charge (“SOC”) reduced from 100% to 20% per single charge. Passenger Carrying Capacity：≥ 115

Delivery Requirement:
The supplied bus shall be type approved and ready for Motor Vehicle Examination (“MVE”) in Hong Kong on or before 31-Dec-2022.
